College Magazine names WKNC among its Top 16 college radio stations

WKNC 88.1 FM has once again landed on a list of the best college radio stations. CollegeMagazine.com ranks N.C. State’s student run-radio as number six in an article published Oct. 13. This is WKNC’s fifth time on a similar list since 2013 and its highest placement yet. CollegeMagazine.com lauded WKNC’s commitment to local music, highlighting its Local Band Local Beer weekly concert series and daily “Local Lunch” programming.

Earlier this year, WKNC was named among the best in college radio by Best College Reviews and Degree Source. The station was also recognized as among the best in college radio by Men’s Health U and Pigeons & Planes in 2013.
