Student Media releases 2013-2014 awards list
N.C. State Student Media finished the 2013-2014 year with recognition from a number of local, state and national organizations. The 2013 Windhover, edited by Lisa Dickson, earned the Gold Crown award in March 2014, which is the highest honor given by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
N.C. State Student Media finished the 2013-2014 year with recognition from a number of local, state and national organizations. Most notably the 2012 Agromeck, edited by Kathryn Glaser and Susannah Brinkley, earned the Associated Collegiate Press’s Pacemaker award. Presented in October 2013, the Pacemaker is the highest honor given by the organization. The 2013 Agromeck, edited by Alex Sanchez, was announced as a Pacemaker finalist in April 2014. The 2013 Windhover, edited by Lisa Dickson, earned the Gold Crown award in March 2014, which is the highest honor given by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The Pacemaker and Gold Crown are considered the “national championships” of college media. Martha Collins advises both publications.
