WKNC Twitter reaches 7,000 followers

WKNC’s Twitter account has reached its 7,000th follower. Launched in February 2009, @WKNC881 hit the 6,000 follower mark in March 2013.

According to the social media analytics tool Twtrland, @WKNC881 averages 2.6 tweets per day and 78 per month. The station gets 47 retweets and 69 incoming replies per 100 tweets. While @WKNC881 reaches users in 28 countries, more than half of its followers are based in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. Twtrland also identifies some of @WKNC881’s “celebrity” followers as Reverb Nation, Merge Records and N.C. State Head Football Coach Dave Dorean.
