NCSU students receive statewide recognition in writing, design and photography

N.C. State Student Media’s Agromeck yearbook and Windhover literary and arts magazine were named “Best of Show” by the North Carolina College Media Association at its fifth annual statewide convention Feb. 18 at Winston-Salem State University. Technician and Nubian Message newspapers also received “Best of Show” recognition and the publications received 24 individual honors in writing, design and photography.

The 2011 Agromeck, edited by Susannah Brinkley, dominated the yearbook category. In addition to winning “Best of Show,” Agromeck also earned first and second (and sometimes third) place in each of the award categories. The book has already won numerous Gold Circle and Best of Collegiate Design awards and is up for a Gold Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
