Student Media co-sponsors Sunshine Day

The Sunshine Center of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition, in collaboration with N.C. State Student Media, will host its annual Sunshine Day celebration Monday, March 11 at the McKimmon Center on NCSU’s campus. From noon to 4 p.m., veteran journalists and government officials from across the state will highlight the importance of open government.  Lucy Dalglish, dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland will deliver the keynote address, followed by panel discussions on access to public records in the UNC-Chapel Hill football investigation and sunshine initiatives by local governments.
