The Associated Collegiate Press announced Feb. 12, that the NCSU Agromeck yearbook is one of 15 finalists for the national Pacemaker award, one of two top national awards given to college media. The Columbia Scholastic Press Association announced earlier in the year that the same book, the 2007 edition, would receive a national Crown Award this spring.

“I doubt there are many programs on this campus that can claim two national championships in one year,” adviser Bradley Wilson said, “much less national championships in three of the last four years. It’s an impressive record for an impressive and hard-working group of students.” The Pacemaker award will be given at the ACP fall convention.

Brandon Wright, editor of the book, and now a senior in accounting, said, “We’re very proud of this book as a staff. The evolution of a book over the past four years has led to exciting products. It’ll be great to see what future books have to offer.”
