WKNC named among best in college radio

Best College Reviews has included WKNC 88.1 FM among its April 1 list of best college radio stations. Listed as #8, the station is praised as a “cultural force in the greater community” for events like the weekly Local Band Local Beer series at Tir Na nOg Irish Pub. Earlier this year WKNC was #9 on Degree Source’s “Top 10 Influential College Radio Stations.”

The student-run operation also made an appearance at #16 in the March 2013 “The 25 Best College Radio Stations” list from music blog Pigeons & Planes and was among “The 20 Coolest College Radio Stations” as named by Men’s Health U in April 2013.
